Jacksons Security $150,000 Tasmanian Newmarket

The Jacksons Security $150,000.00 Tasmanian Newmarket handicap was first run in 1902. From 1902 to 1914 it was called the Autumn Handicap and was usually run on the first Saturday after Easter. Since 1961 the race has been run in November each year. I’m Wesley won the race tyhree time in a row in 2017, 2018 & 2019 and Hellova Street twice in 2014 & 2015. Last year the race was won by the Barry Campbell trained Deroche. The Jacksons Security Tasmanian Newmarket is the biggest sprint race in tasmania.

At the Tasmanian Turf Club we take great pride in being able to offer you the very best hospitality experience with dining options set against prime trackside viewing.

Members & Patrons can book into the Members enclosure and enjoy a two-course buffet $50 Members & $55 Non-Members (includes entry to the course and Members area).  Our buffet boasts to be one of the best in Launceston and includes a roast, steamed greens, roasted vegetables, a variety of salads, wet dishes and condiments.

Or patrons can enjoy a counter meal on level 1 public area/Colours from our extensive menu.

Members dress code:

Gents: Shirt with collar attached, dress pants or jeans (No denim), sporting footwear, caps, shorts, torn clothing etc.

Ladies: Race wear (no denim)
